Like many, I love music and cannot go a day without listening. Funnily enough, because I was the laziest person on earth, I used to go months (even a whole year) without listening to anything new.

I have been an avid Disclosure fan since their first album Settle. Like Settle, this album is full of nonstop bangers. Disclosure have this unique skill of making a dance track sound so soulful that you could cut shapes to it at the rave on a Friday night AND blast it while you’re chilling with the family on a Sunday. They’re one of our best British musicians and if you love soulful tracks that you could also rave to, then you will 100% love this album.

(Side note: This album features some amazing vocals too: The Weeknd, Lorde, Miguel, Sam Smith!)

2. Reality Show by Jasmine Sullivan

Jasmine Sullivan returned with a bang this year with this AMAZING and seriously underrated album. Every single song on this album is fantastic, and I’m not even overexaggerating. Seriously, every single song tells a completely different story, either about Jasmine herself or about the reality TV stars she was inspired by. The woman can sing, and she doesn’t hold back with this album. I think this album deserves more love, so if you haven’t already, take a listen!

3. You Should Be Here by Kehlani

I can still remember the moment I discovered Kehlani and this sick album. I was doing what other millennials do, scrolling through Twitter instead of doing what I’m supposed to do. As I was scrolling, I came across a short clip of her video for The Way featuring Chance the Rapper. After watching the full video on YouTube, something came and hit me in the face and chest. I cannot even describe the feeling, but it was love. I was in love! She’s beautiful, talented, and so honest with her music. I recently saw her live in London, and she was even better than the album/mixtape. She’s dropping her second project early next year, so you already know I’m waiting anxiously for that one!

4. Trapsoul by Bryson Tiller

If you’re an avid X user, you’ve probably encountered the term ‘Bryson Tiller and Chill’. Having taken part in this activity myself, I would highly recommend it. Trapsoul is Bryson’s first album but hopefully not his last. The dude sings and raps over mellow trap beats. You can just hear Drake’s influence in his music, but he also adds his own style to his songs. The album consists of nothing but tunes, and I can honestly say the hype ain’t lying this time.
